Draft new Supreme Court practice notes - request for comment. Comments required by 5 August 2005

Date:
07/22/2005

Message from Megan Greenwood, Chief Executive Officer and Principal Registrar of the Supreme Court of New South Wales

The Civil Procedure Act and the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules are due to commence in mid to late August 2005. The Supreme Court of NSW is currently reviewing its rules and practice notes to ensure that they are consistent with the Act and rules.

To ensure consistency with the new Act and rules, current practice notes will be repealed and replaced with new practice notes. The number of practice notes will reduce to approximately 25. The attached table lists each of the proposed new practice notes. The table also explains the correlation between the new practice notes and the existing ones.
