The Chief Justice, the Honourable T F Bathurst AC, has today issued Practice Note SC EQ 13 - Adoptions. The Practice Note commences operation on Friday, 1 July 2016.

It applies to proceedings under the Adoption Act 2000 (NSW) (“the Adoption Act”), and proceedings under the Family Law (Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption) Regulations 1998 (Cth) (“the Hague Convention Regulations”) (“adoption proceedings”).
