Victims Services is part of the NSW Attorney General's Department and consists of:

  • Victims Compensation Tribunal,
  • Victims of Crime Bureau
  • Families and Friends of Missing Persons Unit

These bodies work together with the Victims Advisory Board to help victims of crime in New South Wales access services and entitlements to assist in their recovery.

The services provided by Victims Services include:

  • compensation
  • counselling
  • referral to other agencies
  • assistance with Victim Impact Statements
  • ensuring agencies comply with the Charter of Victims Rights
  • providing a 24 hour victim support line
