Please select this link to access the new site, or wait to be re-directed in 5 seconds. $86.64 million in awards and professional costs compared to $78.69 million in the year 1998/1999. $1.55 million in counselling payments compared with $1.53 million in the previous year. 2. Under the 1987 Act the Tribunal determined 1,010 matters compared with 4,847 in 1998/1999. All claims under the 1987 Act have been determined although it is possible some may be remitted by the District Court following an appeal to that Court. 3. A total of $29.86 million (including District Court awards and costs) was paid out under the 1987 Act compared with $46.14 million in the previous year. 4. Under the 1996 Act the Assessors determined 5,015 applications compared with 3,854 in the previous year. 5. A total of $56.78 million was paid out under the 1996 Act in awards compared with $32.55 million the previous year. 6. A total of $3.26 million was recovered from offenders compared with $3.19 million in 1998/1999. 7. There were 204 appeals lodged in the District Court against decisions of the Tribunal under the 1987 Act. 8. Appeals to the Tribunal from determinations of the assessors totalled 814 compared with 490 the previous year. |
