Subpoena List practices from 1 February 2010
These practices apply to all Divisions of the Court and to any matters relating to Subpoenas, Notices to Produce and Orders for Production returnable at Court. The Corporations registrar will conduct the Return of Subpoena List at 9am each day until further notice. The Corporations registrar sits in courtroom 11B on level 11at the Land and Environment Court, 225 Macquarie St, Sydney. The Return of Subpoena List will be conducted as follows:
2. Referral of appropriate matters to a Duty Judge (such as applications for contempt). 3. Call for any consent orders and matters needing short adjournments 4. Call for any contested applications and other matters needing to be brought to the Registrar’s attention. These matters will be stood down to be dealt with other contested matters in the Corporations List 5. A general access order will be made in relation to all proceedings except those proceedings that have been stood down to be dealt with other contested matters in the Corporations List Parties should be prepared to have short applications dealt with on the date the matter is first listed. Longer matters may need to be stood over to specially fixed dates. The Corporations registrar or another registrar may hear these applications. A computer printout of all documents produced to the court, to date, in answer to subpoenas, notices to produce and orders for production will be made available at the Exhibits counter of the Supreme Court Registry (Level 5) by 3pm on the day before the return date. An updated list will be available before 9am in court the following day. |
