Amendments to Part 36, which commence on 1 March 2000, add new rules 13C and 13CA which provide a code of conduct for experts engaged for the purpose of:

(a) providing a report as to his or her opinion for use as evidence; or

(b) giving opinion evidence,

in proceedings or proposed proceedings.

Paragraph 18 of Practice Note 104 will be superseded by those rules.
