Missing Persons Information for Mental Health Professionals (PDf 166Kb) is a resource jointly developed by the Families and Friends of Missing Persons Unit and the Mental Health Association NSW Inc This resource is an information sheet for professionals working in the mental health and related sectors and provides information about missing persons and what to do if you think someone you have contact with may be a missing person. For professionals who may have contact with the families or friends of someone who is missing there are additional resources on this website that may be of assistance.

"A Glimmer of hope - stories of courage from families of missing persons" - this anthology catalogues four different stories from family members of missing persons- a sister, parents, a wife and a daughter. It describes, in their own words, the journey's they travelled when their loved one disappeared. The book is not available electronically and can be ordered through the unit.
FFMPU e-news
DVD “Missing” was launched in August 2006 and is a joint initiative of NSW Families and Friends of Missing Persons Unit and NSW Police Missing Persons Unit. It was jointly funded by NSW Police and the Attorney General’s Department of NSW and produced by the Public Affairs Unit with support of the Attorney General’s Department of NSW. This educational DVD is aimed at raising awareness of missing person issues particularly in Aboriginal communities. The DVD was developed as a response to recommendations in the Young Aboriginal Females Reported Missing to Police: “Which Way for Prevention (PDF 1809Kb).
