Getting ready for court

The thought of going to court and giving evidence in court may make some people feel nervous or anxious. So it is recommended that you prepare for court by speaking with someone to get support, and seek information about the court system and the court process.

The court is a formal environment. If you are unsure how to behave or what to wear you should talk to your counsellor, Witness Assistance Officer, legal representative or a police officer.
