The Department of the Attorney General website has information for victims of crime including:

The Department of Corrective Services website has information for victims of crime on the Victim Notification Register and Offender Mediation. You can phone the Victim Notification Registry on (08) 9425 2870.

The Victims of Crime website helps victims of crime, their families and others by providing answers to the most commonly asked questions and issues victims encounter.

The WA Police website has a search facility for finding your nearest police station or you can phone 131 444.

Legal Assistance

The Law Society of Western Australia website has a search facility to enable you to find legal assistance.

Legal Aid of Western Australia provides a number of services including:

    • Telephone information Line - 1300 650 579 or TTY 1800 241 216
    • legal advice
    • Legal representation (if criteria met)
    • Domestic Violence Legal Unit
The Shopfront Lawyer can give legal advice and referrals. Phone 9322 4911 Monday to Friday 8.50am to 4.10pm.

Community Legal Centres are independent community organisations providing free legal services including advice and information. Most Centres provide face-to-face legal advice as well as information over the phone. Many Centres hold daytime and evening interview and advice sessions.

Other Assistance

The Department of the Attorney General website has an online directory of services available for victims of crime.

The Homicide Victims Support Group WA provides an information and 24 hours telephone support service for surviving family members of a homicide. You can phone the Homicide Victims Support Group on 1800 006 806.

Orana House (Orana Women's Refuge Inc) provides accomodation, support and advocay to women and children escaping domestic violence. You can phone Orana House (24 hours) on 9370 4544.
