The Witness Assistance Service (Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions) provides information about, and support during, the legal process, and referral to relevant services for victims of crime and their close family members or carers. Phone the Witness Assistance Service on (08) 8207 1529.

South Australia Police Victim Contact Officers or Victim Liaison Officers give advice and information about support and counselling services and make referrals to other services if appropriate. Visit the South Australia Police website for more information.

The Department for Correctional Services website has information (found under "corporate" section) for victims of crime on Restorative Justice and Victims Register. To have your name placed on the Victims Register, you can contact the Victims Support Unit of the Department on (08) 8226 9000 or write to GPO Box 1747 Adelaide 5001.

The Domestic Violence Crisis Service provides:

Regional Domestic Violence Services: These are women's shelters located throughout the metropolitan area. They provide supported accomodation, outreach support and counselling to victims and children, information and referral, advocacy and self-help groups. Contact details:

The Homicide Victims Support Group is a mutual support group for families and friends whose loved ones have been murdered. You can contact them by phoning the Loss and Grief Centre on (08) 8305 9670 or after hours on 0438 867 408.
