Victim Support - Manaaki Tangata - provides 24 hour emotional support, personal advocacy and information to all people affected by crime and trauma throughout New Zealand. Phone toll free: 0800 VICTIM (0800 842846) or visit the website to find the nearest victim support group.

Victims Notification Register (Department of Corrections) website has information on:

    • Eligibility
    • Process and assistance in applying
    • Information provided by Department of Corrections
    • Information provided by the New Zealand Parole Board

The Child Youth and Family Department has information on its website on child abuse. If you suspect a child is being abused phone 0508 FAMILY (0508 326 459) or the Police.
