Federal Ombudsman
The Office of the Federal Ombudsman for Victims of Crime is an independent resource for victims in Canada. Victims can contact the Office to learn more about their rights under federal law and the services available to them, or to make a complaint about any federal agency or federal legislation dealing with victims of crime.

Alberta
Solicitor General and Public Security website has information for victims of crime in Alberta, including:

British Columbia
Victim Services, Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General - The Government of B.C. funds over 150 programs, run by non-profit agencies and local police detachments, that provide information about the justice system, practical help, emotional support and referrals to other appropriate programs. Saskatchewan
Victims Services, Saskatchewan Justice - Saskatchewan Royal Canadian Mounted Police work with Saskatchewan Justice to provide services to victims of crime. Most areas of the province are covered by police-affiliated victims services programs. Programs of Victims Services:
    • Crisis Intervention
    Victims Services workers help to meet the immediate needs of victims of crime for timely information, support and referral.
    • Victim/Witness Services
    Victims Services provides court orientation and supports victims and witnesses during their involvement with the criminal justice system.
    • Compensation
    Victims Services provides payment for reasonable expenses resulting from a criminal act of personal violence.
    • Education and Training
    The Victims Services Program undertakes activities to educate the public and professionals about the needs of victims and how to respond in a helpful and compassionate way.
Quebec
