Victims Compensation
If you have been a victim of crime in New South Wales and the crime involved violence, you may be eligible to claim victims compensation. The victims compensation scheme was established to assist victims of violent crime. The scheme is run by Victims Services, who also help victims in other ways, such as providing counselling, support and information. To claim compensation you will need to lodge an application with Victims Services.

Motor Vehicle Accidents
Victims compensation is not available for claims arising from injuries caused by a motor vehicle accident.

You can make an application for compensation by yourself if you wish or be represented by a solicitor.
