Not all privacy complaints can be dealt with by Privacy NSW. Sometimes the correct office for you to go to will be the Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner.

First you need to know who your complaint is against.

Is your complaint about a NSW public sector agency (eg. the RTA)?	Yes
Is your complaint about a local council?	Yes
Is your complaint about an Australian Government department (eg. Centrelink)?	Yes
Is your complaint about a private sector organisation (eg. a bank)?	Yes
Is your complaint about a private health service provider (eg. your GP)?	Yes
Is your complaint about an individual person (eg. your neighbour)?	Yes
