GLBT Campaign
Promoting enduring guardianship and "Person Responsible" information to the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender (GLBT) Community
We make decisions about our own lives all day, every day. But what would happen if for some reason you were unable to make decisions for yourself?
The NSW Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) has completed a 6 month information campaign to promote enduring guardianship to the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender (GLBT) community. OPG partnered with ACON (Aids Council of NSW) to achieve this. The campaign increased awareness about the importance of planning ahead for a time when you may not be able to make lifestyle decisions for yourself.
To coincide with this campaign, ACON has produced a wallet-sized publication on "Person Responsible". The Office of the Public Guardian is assisting to promote this useful guide at the education sessions.
