FROM 1 JULY THE OFFICE OF THE PROTECTIVE COMMISSIONER WILL BE KNOWN AS THE NEW SOUTH WALES TRUSTEE AND GUARDIAN

Who is the NSW Trustee and Guardian?
The NSW Trustee and Guardian is an independent public official legally appointed to protect and administer the financial affairs and property of people unable to make financial decisions for themselves (where there is no other suitable person willing to assist). The NSW Trustee and Guardian is Ms Imelda Dodds.

When was the NSW Trustee and Guardian established?
Established in 1985 in its present form under the Protected Estates Act, 1983 (NSW), the Office of the Protective Commissioner forms part of the NSW Attorney General's Department.
