The New South Wales Law Reform Commission began operation in 1966, and was formally created by statute in 1967, as the first permanent body in Australia charged with the task of proposing changes to the general law.
The law reform process: a step by step guide
There is no single procedure the Law Reform Commission uses in undertaking law reform projects. However, the Commission usually works within a particular framework when it develops recommendations for changes to the law. The exact procedure needs to be tailored to suit each project. More>>
Organisational structure
