Student Information


Candidate Identification
Students must bring photo ID to an examination. Acceptable forms of ID are: LPAB Student ID/Library card, current driver's licence, passport or proof of age card. Any student failing to present acceptable ID will not be allowed to sit the exam. Please note this policy will be strictly enforced.

Change of Address
You must inform the Board in writing of any change of name, address, telephone number or email address. The change can be notified by fax to (02) 9338 3555, mail to GPO Box 3980 Sydney 2001 or email at ag_lpab@agd.nsw.gov.au. Don't forget to inform the Law Extension Committee via the Webcampus and the University Card Centre http://www.usyd.edu.au/card_centre/applications/update.php of the change.

Are you aware of NSW Young Lawyers?
NSW Young Lawyers is a division of the Law Society of New South Wales. Membership is automatic to law students, and to legal practitioners and barristers either in their first five years of practice or under 35 yeas of age.

Do you need an Academic Transcript?
Academic Transcripts can be ordered by completing the application form academic transcript form either in person: Level 4, 37 Bligh St, (Cnr Hunter St) Sydney, or by mail: GPO Box 3980 Sydney NSW 2001 or DX 602 SYDNEY . The current application fee is prescribed under the Board’s third schedule of the Legal Profession Admission Rules (2005). Please check the fee schedule for the current fee: www.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/lpab or contact a customer service officer on (02) 9338 3500. Please make cheques / money orders payable to the Legal Profession Admission Board.
