Exemptions
Academic and Practical Legal Training Exemption
Uniform Principles for the assessment of overseas applicants for admission have been adopted by all Australian admitting authorities.

From 7 April 2008 the Academic Exemption and Practical Legal Training Exemptions Sub-Committees and the Legal Qualifications Committee will have regard to the Uniform Principles in exercising their functions and discretions under Rules 97 and 98 of the Legal Profession Admission Board Rules 2005, in so far as that is consistent with the application of those Rules to the circumstances of the individual cases.

*A duplicate of an original certificate cannot be issued. Damaged certificates must be returned to the Board before a replacement can be issued. If a Certificate has been lost, a statutory declaration setting out the reasons surrounding the loss must be lodged together with any application. Payment options
The following methods of payment are accepted by the Legal Profession Admission Board:
1. Bank Cheque
2. Personal Cheque
3. Money Order
4. International Money Order
5. Cash (in person) (except enrolments)
6. Eftpos (except enrolments) / Visa / Mastercard (for credit card payments other than in person, the Board requires a credit card payment form to be completed). Please note we cannot accept 3rd party credit card payments, applicants must use their own credit card. Credit card transactions will be processed by the Legal Profession Admission Board in Australian Dollars and will be converted at the current rate on that day by your credit card provider.
All cheques and money orders must be in Australian currency and made payable to the Legal Profession Admission Board. Dishonoured cheques will incur a $35.00 fee.
