- Legal Ethics Examination March 2009 Review: Following an unexpected increase in the failure rate in Legal Ethics the Board is conducting a thorough investigation into the instruction, examination and marking processes. The result of this investigation will be tabled at the next Board meeting on 23 June 2009. Students that enrolled for and sat the March 2009 Legal Ethics exam will be advised individually of the Board's deliberations immediately following and a notice will be posted in the Board's website. Students should not speculate as to the Board's decision or possible outcomes and should comply with normal enrolment provisions.
- Legal Ethics Examination March 2009 Review UPDATE - 25/6/09: This review is complex and has involved considerable work. Regrettably, it is taking longer than anticipated and is still in progress. It is not possible to advise students when the review will be concluded. At its meeting on 23 June 2009 the Board made recommendations for procedural changes and students will be given more details when these are finalised. Students should continue on as usual and not speculate on any outcomes.
- March 2009 Examination Results: Results will not, under any circumstances, be given over the phone. Nor will they be available over the counter. Result letters will be mailed out no later than Tuesday 21 April. Students are asked not to contact the Board to enquire when the letter will be delivered as this is something the Board has no control over. Pass results will be posted on this site on Thursday 23 April at approximately midday. Students are requested not to contact the Board to enquire specifically when the results will appear as this will only delay publication.
- Past 10 years of Pass/fail stats are now available.

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Note to all Students-at-Law seeking employment in a law practice
It may be a criminal offence if a law graduate or student who has been convicted or found guilty of, or has pleaded guilty to an indictable offence (whether or not it is dealt with summarily and whether or not a conviction is recorded) seeks employment in a law practice, having failed to first inform the law practice of the conviction or finding.
Students-at-law should familiarise themselves with sections 4, 7, 11 and 17 of the Legal Profession Act 2004.
If you require further information or advice in relation to these provisions, you should contact the Law Society or Bar Association or seek independent legal advice.
