Our location
The Land and Environment Court Registry is located on Level 4 at 225 Macquarie Street (Windeyer Chambers), Sydney NSW. It is diagonally opposite Sydney Eye Hospital and 30m from the top of Martin Place. Noticeboards displaying the daily Court lists are located on the ground floor and on the Registy level (level 4). The court rooms themselves are located on Levels 13, 12, 11, 10, 5, 3 and 1 of the same building.
Transport & parking
| By train | Nearest stations are Martin Place and St James. If arriving at Martin Place Station, exit the station, walk to the top of Martin place until you reach Macquarie Street. Turn right and the entrance to 225 Macquarie Street is about 30 metres on the right hand side. If arriving at St James Station, take the exit for Queens Square. Cross the square towards the large Supreme Court building and walk along Macquarie Street in the direction of Circular Quay. The entrance to 225 Macquarie Street is approximately 40 metres on the left hand side, just after the street cafes. | By Bus | Depending on which bus route you may be taking into the city, you will need to walk up to Macquarie Street that runs parallel to Elizabeth, Castlereagh, Pitt and George Streets. 225 Macquarie Street is located towards the Hyde Park end of the street, opposite the Sydney Hospital and the Sydney Mint buildings. | By Private Vehicle | Suggested parking stations are located at the rear of Sydney Eye Hospital, Hospital Road, The Domain (Sir John Young Crescent), Chifley Tower (2 Hunter Street) and the Theatre Royal (MLC Centre, 120 King Street). All of these involve approximately a 5-10 minute walk to reach the Court’s building. On-street parking, especially on Macquarie Street is extremely limited for anything other than a short stay. |

The Registrars of the Local Courts are agents for the Registrar of the Land and Environment Court for the purposes of filing documents (including new applications) and the receipting of filing fees. Please select the following link for the location details of all NSW local court houses.
Disability access
- There is designated parking for people with disabilities located on Macquarie Street (3 spaces) and Phillip Street (2 spaces);
- There is wheelchair access from Macquarie Street to the entrance of the building. The court rooms themselves are accessed by lifts from the ground floor and are all wheelchair accessible.
- A public convenience with full wheelchair access is located on level 4.

Hours of operation
The Registry office is open between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. For those wishing to observe a hearing of the Court, it is recommended that you check the daily court lists to ascertain the approximate start time.
Registry facilities
- Public telephones (every level);
- Photocopier on level 4 (cards available for sale on level 4); and
- Computer terminals - for searches of judgment databases and the Court website.
