The Commission has released a new Practice Direction which will be published in the Industrial Gazette of 12th November 2004 and take effect from 26th November 2004.

The purposes of Practice Direction 15 are:

• to facilitate the processing of Awards and Contract Determinations of the Industrial Relations Commission of New South Wales by emphasising and giving effect to the requirements of Rule 32 of the Industrial Relations Commission Rules 1996

• to provide guidance for Members of the Commission and applicants appearing before the Commission on the steps necessary to ensure that Awards made by the Commission are publicly available in a timely manner and thus readily enforceable.
