A judgment debtor whose salary or wage is subject to a continuous Garnishee Order is entitled to retain the "weekly compensation amount" which is the amount specified for the purposes of section 37(1)(a)(i) of the Workers Compensation Act 1987.

For the purposes of section 122 of the Civil Procedure Act 2005 the weekly compensation amount is $396.10 (as at 1 October 2009). Note that the weekly compensation amount is amended each April and October.
