1. Asbestos claims

All claims resulting from asbestos are dealt with under the Claims Resolution Process.

Asbestos claims in which the plaintiff has mesothelioma or carcinoma are classified as malignant claims.

Asbestos claims in which the plaintiff has asbestosis or another asbestos-related disease are classified as non-malignant.

Claims are further divided by whether there is one defendant or more than one defendant to the claim.

2. Non-asbestos claims

Claims for all dust diseases which do not result from exposure to asbestos are case managed by a judge through the court process.
