Welcome to the website of the Community Relations Unit

The role of the Community Relations Unit
is to
    • assist members of the public in their dealings with the Department of Attorney General and Justice
    • respond to correspondence and enquiries on behalf of the Attorney General when requested by him and
    • manage the appointment of Justices of the Peace in NSW.
The Community Relations Unit is responsible for
    • providing information and referrals about the Department’s services, policies and programs
    • assisting with the handling and resolution of complaints
    • providing advice about the role of and appointment process for Justices of the Peace in NSW
    • facilitating requests for the use of Crown copyright material and the State arms and symbols
    • facilitating requests for exemptions under the Anti-Discrimination Act.
