Commercial/Property (Transactions)
The Commercial/Property (Transactions) Practice Group has expertise in all areas of corporate, commercial and property law, providing written and oral advice as required and drafting legal documents.
The group covers all aspects of commercial and property law from major Government projects to short term licensing agreements, regularly advising Government clients on their powers to enter into specific transactions and the best mechanisms for them to do so.
The matters handled by the Commercial/Property (Transactions) Practice Group include negotiations, transactions, document drafting and advice in the following areas:
- Industry assistance agreements, general commercial agreements, intellectual property (IP) agreements (including copyright, patents, trademarks and design agreements and licensing agreements) as well as information technology contracts;
- Draft requests for tender and evaluation of tender responses;
- Financing, joint ventures, partnerships, corporations law, trade practices, franchising, probity and tendering issues, IP, e-commerce and Government guarantees and undertakings.
- Property developments;
- Acquisitions and disposal of land (including tenders);
- Leasing and licensing;
- Easements and covenants;
- Compulsory acquisition of land;

- Planning and environmental Law;

The Commercial/Property (Transactions) Practice Group also runs educational seminars for clients, publishes updates on Commercial Corporate and Property Law issues and conducts client training.
