On the 18th of February next year it will be 40 years since the NSW State Cabinet decided to establish a NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics. To celebrate the event the Director and staff of the Bureau are holding a 40th anniversary symposium on the 18th and 19th of February 2009 at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney's Darling Harbour.
The symposium will include a great line up of speakers, including Professors Tony Vinson, Arie Freiberg, Peter Grabosky, Larissa Behrendt, Paul Mazerolle and many more. All are welcome to attend.
The symposium will focus on the contribution that research can make to criminal justice administration and law and order policy.
