Public Forums



Sydney

Throughout February, March and April 2008, the Inquiry will be holding public forums into various issues relevant to the terms of reference. The Commissioner will chair each forum.

Each forum will be held at the Inquiry’s premises at Level 8, John Maddison Tower, 86-90 Goulburn Street, Sydney.

PLEASE NOTE: The John Maddison Tower contains courts and on that basis recording devices are not allowed on the premises as a matter of policy.

Representatives of relevant organisations and individuals with relevant experience will be invited to participate in the forums.

Interested members of the public are welcome to attend the forums, and will be provided with an opportunity to comment and ask questions of invited participants. It would be helpful if members of the public wishing to attend would contact the Inquiry to register their interest.

Each forum will be recorded and a transcript placed on this website.

The Inquiry is preparing an agenda and facts sheet for each forum, which will be placed on this website a week prior to the relevant forum.


Regional NSW
    The Commission will hold a number of public forums in Regional NSW throughout March, April and May 2008. The topics of particular interest to the Inquiry are:

    • Out of Home Care
    • The Local Court
    • Availability of Services
