Who's who in court
Sometimes, when you have to go to court, it can help if you know beforehand what to expect. There could be a number of different people in the courtroom when your Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) case is called, such as:
- the magistrate or registrar
- a police prosecutor
- the other party
- court staff
- witnesses
- a domestic violence liaison officer (DVLO).
