Welcome to the Department of Attorney General and Justice Annual Report 2010/11.
This report highlights the Department’s achievements and initiatives in the 2010/11 financial year. This year the Department continued its strong focus on delivering an effective and efficient justice system by implementing innovative crime prevention strategies, operating and managing high performing courts and tribunals, supporting vulnerable participants in the justice system and providing high quality research and policy advice to reform the legal system. The Department also effectively managed adult and juvenile offenders and delivered diversionary and rehabilitation programs to reduce re-offending. The Department’s initiatives were underpinned by its vision to create a safe and just society.
