Industrial Relations Commission - State law matters
Legal aid is available for State law proceedings the Industrial Relations Commission of New South Wales in relation to proceedings under s88F of the Industrial Arbitration Act 1940 [ss275-278 Industrial Relations Act 1991; ss105 - 109 Industrial Relations Act 1996] where those proceedings are taken by or for the benefit of applicants at a special disadvantage.

A grant of legal aid for this type of matter is subject to Means Test A, Merit Test A, exclusions from state matters and general civil guidelines.

Grants of aid in these matters are closely monitored and solicitors are required to report at reasonable stages on the progress of the matter.
