Draft Panel Documents

NOTE: The panel documents are presently in draft form only. The finalised versions will replace these once they are available.

Expression of Interest document contains information about the selection criteria practitioners must address in submitting an application to be placed onto a panel. It also contains information about the selection committee and process.

The Service Provision Agreement contains the terms by which the relationship between Legal Aid and private practitioners will be conducted. It sets out the obligations of both the Legal Aid Commission and the practitioner.

The practice standards are the standards to which the practitioner agrees to comply in representing legally assisted clients. The standards are drafted by Legal Aid’s inhouse practice solicitors and are realistic, practical and achievable. The standards will apply equally to inhouse Legal Aid solicitors and private solicitors.
