Children's Legal Service

Telephone Advice Lawyers from the Children's Legal Service provide legal advice over the telephone to children and young people under 18 who have committed or who are suspected of committing an offence. Under the NSW Young Offenders Act, young people have the right to legal advice before making an admission or a statement to the police:

Representation in Court
The Childrens Legal Service represents children and young people under 18 in criminal and child welfare cases before the Children's Court. The Service operates from Legal Aid offices at:
