Pleas of Guilty - Commonwealth Legal aid may be granted for a plea of guilty if, because of complexity or other aggravating circumstance, the Commission determines that the matter should not be dealt with by a duty lawyer service · a likelihood that a lengthy sentence may be imposed, or · a disability or disadvantage of the applicant, such as a language difficulty. A grant of aid is subject to the Means Test and the Commonwealth Criminal Law Guidelines. |
