BISCUIT, CAKE MAKERS & PASTRYCOOKS &c. (STATE) INDUSTRIAL COMMITTEE

 

INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS COMMISSION OF NEW SOUTH WALES

 

Application by National Union of Workers, New South Wales Branch an industrial organisation of employees, for  the dissolution and re-establishment of an industrial committee.

ORDER

 

The Commission orders that -

 

1.          The Industrial Committee, known as the Biscuit, Cake Makers & Pastrycooks &c. (State) Industrial Committee published 28 July 2000 (317.I.G.498) be dissolved.

 

2.          There be established a new Biscuit, Cake Makers & Pastrycooks &c. (State) Industrial Committee for the Industries and Callings of:-

 

1.          Employees in biscuit and cake factories in the State.

 

2.          Pastrycooks and assistants, all persons employed in making muffins, crumpets, hot plate goods and hamburger buns, pastry packers, carters, grooms, stablemen, yardmen and motor wagon drivers employed in connection therewith in the State, excluding the County of Yancowinna;

 

excepting

 

Engine drivers, firemen, greasers, trimmer, cleaners and pumpers engaged in or about the driving of engines, electrical crane, winch, and motor drivers;

 

Carters, grooms, stablemen, yardmen, and drivers of motor and other power propelled vehicles;

 

Tinsmiths, and sheet iron workers.

 

All persons employed by the Sydney County Council;

 

Employees of the Australian Gas Light Company;

 

Employees of the North Shore Gas Company Limited

 

3.          The said Industrial Committee shall consist of two (2) representatives of employers and two (2) representatives of employees.

 

4.          The representatives of employers shall be appointed, upon nomination as prescribed, one by Australian Business Industrial and one by the Baking Industry Association (N.S.W Employers).

 

5.          The representative of employees shall be appointed, upon nomination as prescribed, by the National Union of Workers, New South Wales Branch.

 

6.          These Orders Shall take effect from 26 November 2002 for a period of three (3) years.
