VARIATION
1. Delete clause
37, Operational Detectives Allowance, and Table 7 - Operational Detectives
Allowance (Non-Commissioned Officers) from clause 1, Arrangement, of the award
published 25 July 2003 (340 I.G. 582) and renumber the existing clause and
table numbers and subject matters.
2. Delete clause
35, Special Duties Allowance, and insert in lieu thereof the following:

(i) In addition
to the rates prescribed for Non-Commissioned Officers by clause 33, Salaries
and clause 34, Loading, of this award, a Non-Commissioned Officer who holds a
position set out hereunder shall, on the determination of the Commissioner, be
paid the appropriate allowance prescribed in Table 5 - Special Duties
Allowances (Non-Commissioned Officers) of Part B, Monetary Rates, of this
Award, provided that, in respect to Grades 1 to 5, where more than one rate
applies to a Non-Commissioned Officer, they shall only be entitled to one rate,
namely, the higher or highest.
