How quickly are decisions made available on CaseLaw NSW?
Written judicial decisions of the:
- Supreme Court,
- Court of Appeal,
- Court of Criminal Appeal, and
- Land and Environment Court,
are generally available within 24-48 hours of being handed down.
Because decisions are included directly by the Court they are available on CaseLaw NSW earlier than any other judgement service.
Some types of decisions, for example ex tempore decisions (decision read onto the record, rather than written down), may take longer.
Decisions of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal and Industrial Relations Commission generally take longer to include in the CaseLaw NSW databases.
