Please Note: The Fair Trading Tribunal and the Residential Tribunal merged on 25 February 2002 to
form the Consumer, Trader & Tenancy Tribunal (CTTT).

The Fair Trading Tribunal did not publish all decisions.

For decisions that were published they fell into one of four categories:
bulletprovide interpretation of relevant legislation, or
bulletare of particular community interest, or
bulletare illustrative examples of a type of dispute that regularly comes before the Tribunal, or
bulletare concerned with novel issues.

Prior to publication decisions were vetted, and if necessary altered, to ensure that they comply with the Tribunal’s privacy policy which is designed to protect the privacy of individuals named in published Tribunal decisions. That policy requires that individuals first names and street addresses not be published.
