Welcome to the website of the Community Relations Unit
The role of the Community Relations Unit is to
- assist members of the public in their dealings with the Department of Justice and Attorney General,
- respond to correspondence and enquiries on behalf of the Attorney General when requested by him and
- manage the appointment of Justices of the Peace in NSW.
The Community Relations Unit is responsible for
- providing information and referrals about the Department’s services, policies and programs
- assisting with the handling and resolution of complaints
- providing advice about the role of and appointment process for Justices of the Peace in NSW
- facilitating requests for the use of Crown copyright material and the State arms and symbols
- facilitating requests for exemptions under the Anti-Discrimination Act.
