Welcome to the website of the Community Relations Unit The role of the Community Relations Unit is to assist members of the public in their dealings with the Department of Justice and Attorney General, respond to correspondence and enquiries on behalf of the Attorney General when requested by him and manage the appointment of Justices of the Peace in NSW. The Community Relations Unit is responsible for providing information and referrals about the Department’s services, policies and programs assisting with the handling and resolution of complaints providing advice about the role of and appointment process for Justices of the Peace in NSW facilitating requests for the use of Crown copyright material and the State arms and symbols facilitating requests for exemptions under the Anti-Discrimination Act.
